Flute: Julia Gallego
Julia Gallego was born in Altea, completing her musical education at the Óscar Esplá Conservatories in Alicante, Héctor Berlioz in Paris and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris.
Prize of Honor in the Middle and Higher grades, “Premier Prix de la Ville de Paris”, First Prize in the Montserrat Alavedra Competition with the Haizea Quintet, “Premier Prix a l'unanimité du jury” of the CNSM of Paris, First Prize and Special Prize of the Public in the competition of the ARD of Munich with the Miró Ensemble in the year 2001.
He has been part of the JONDE (1992-1996) and Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester (1997-2001).
As a soloist, he has performed with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, the City of Granada Orchestra, the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, the Cadaqués Orchestra, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, bandArt, St Georges Strings, Ensemble Les Dissonances, Camerata Bern.
Co-founder and flutist of BandART (G. Nikolic), he is currently also a member of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Orquestra de Cadaqués, in addition to performing for years an intense work as a teacher at ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Barcelona) and in the Conservatori Superior de Música of the LICEU of Barcelona.
