DIVAS, The Power of Music: Altea welcomes the Queens of Pop who marked generations
The Palau Altea is getting ready to host the most anticipated musical show of the year, DIVAS, The Power of Music, on November 30th. Under the direction of the renowned theater director and producer Israel Reyes, this new production promises to envelop the people of Alicante in an unforgettable and empowering experience through over 30 hits that have made history in music.
Israel Reyes, the show's director, is known for his ability to create vibrant and dazzling spectacles. His vision for DIVAS has been clear: to bring to the stage a continuous party where the audience is not only a spectator but also a protagonist. "When you enter DIVAS, The Power of Music surrounds you and takes you to the best dance floors of all time," says Reyes.
The show becomes a journey through time, from the nostalgic disco party of the 80s with icons like Cher and Gloria Gaynor, through the energy of Studio 54, to the pop queens of the 90s and 2000s like Madonna, Kylie Minogue, and Lady Gaga. Tributes are also paid to great artists who have left us, such as Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse, and Whitney Houston. And the current divas like Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Rosalía, Katy Perry, and Dua Lipa cannot be missed.
A particularly emotional moment of the show is when the audience becomes the protagonist to the rhythm of the great Girls Bands of history, from Spice Girls and Bananarama to Destiny’s Child and Pussycat Dolls. The venue will transform into a stadium full of colorful balloons in a great "Sing along." In addition, the show includes a tribute to the "made in Spain" divas such as Mecano, Olé Olé, Alaska, Amaral, and Mónica Naranjo.
A unique experience with over 30 costume changes and a carefully designed production to turn the Palau Altea into a show for dancing and singing non-stop for one night.
The show features a cast of talented artists including Thania Gil, Nereida Peña, Miss Marieme, and Dácil Suárez, who will bring to life the incomparable voices of the divas who have marked generations.
