FULL VERSION WITH STAGING, ORCHESTRA, CHOIR AND DANCERS
From the author "touched by the pinkie of God," as he used to say, so that he would only write for the theater, this overwhelming story of the young geisha Cio Cio San is born, managing to captivate the audience from the truth of her emotions. A moving journey through the illusion and joy of her early marriage to the American naval officer Pinkerton in the hills of Nagasaki, through the doubt and uncertainty of abandonment and familial rejection under the strict Japanese civil code, the Horei, to reach a heroic ending reminiscent of a poppy which, after wilting, only has to lose everything to become a symbol of a memory.
From a transgenerational perspective addressing the harshest problems of society, yet full of orientalism and melodies of indescribable beauty, this opera with a spectacular set design undoubtedly leaves the audience "touched" by the finger of this great music genius named Puccini.
The show features surtitles.
