Acróbata y arlequín is a scenic-musical work inspired by the universe of Pablo Picasso's circus during the pink period (1904 -1907) and the music of the first avant-gardes through the composers Erik Satie and Francis Poulenc. The show is performed with lyrical singing, live piano and staged with theater of actors, puppets, shadows, objects and projections. A narrator actor guides the scene to understand the work for a family audience, recommended from 4 years.
The project was born from the investigation of La Maquiné with different genres in an attempt to break the stereotypes around opera, music and theater. The intention is to awaken in the little ones the taste for music and start the path towards the world of lyric from an unconventional perspective. The visual arts, the music, the puppet theater performed on different scales, choreographed with varied manipulation techniques, careful scenography and lighting, along with audiovisual projections, are the aesthetic resources that we will use to achieve our objectives. The intention is to describe the richness and plurality of various languages, resulting in a work of a simple and suggestive nature. The music will be structured through a careful selection of works by Erik Satie and Francis Poulenc performed by live piano and lyrical singing.
